Art on Paper is an annual art fair held in New York City at Pier 36. In 2022, Art on Paper is showcasing modern and contemporary artists who work on or with paper for its highly anticipated 8th year. The fair opened Thursday, September 8 and closes Sunday, September 11.
Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the evening was doing a blind “smell test” of all the Chanel perfumes. They were anonymously categorized by numbers and grouped by qualities such as floral, amber or woody. I eventually chose #6 from the soft amber category as my favorite although I had a hard time deciding. Fun fact: 50% of men choose a female perfume for themselves during this blind test.
Birthdays are also a rare opportunity for all your favorite people to be in the same place at the same time! I love to through my own parties even though it’s a lot of work because the experience is so rare! On April 22nd, 2022 I was invited to attend the Sino American Commerce Association Awards Gala in celebration of it’s new President Sir Gary Kong. The gala took place in Long Island, about an hour outside New York City, at Leonard’s Pilazzo. The venue was large and stately with many different sized chandeliers. The event started with a long, natural light, outdoor red carpet. We posed for quite some time.
I had the pleasure of attending a very cute event for Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin at one of my favorite spots in the city, Aire Ancient Baths. Usually completely off limits to photography, I was able to capture the space in unique form!
I was struck by the serene and silent beauty of the mountains. I love snow because it acts as a natural noise dampener and makes everything seem more peaceful. Downtown Aspen is small but lively during the busy seasons.
