Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin at Aire Ancient Baths

I had the pleasure of attending a very cute event for Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin at one of my favorite spots in the city, Aire Ancient Baths. Usually completely off limits to photography, I was able to capture the space in unique form!

The event started on the way in with the sea captain and his scuba diving friends.

We were checked in and given three cute tokens to trade for our Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin cocktails. The tokens included a seashell, sea glass and what appeared to be a sand dollar.

Upon entry we were provided with some cute slippers with the Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin logo and treated to freshly shucked oysters and other seafood bites.

Hendrick’s Gin really went all out for this event, they completely transformed the space from its usual candlelit elegance into a campy and magical playground. There were roses everywhere, not to mention actors dressed as sharks, mermaids and other creatures.

They had set up a taro reading in one of the private rooms, a ball pit in what is usually the salt float bath and a short meditation gong experience in the steam room.

As always, the space at Aire Ancient Baths was serene and beautiful.

While we weren’t able to go into the pools, luckily there were some mermaids and mermen swimming in them who were willing to trade a small bottle of Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin for a pretty seashell.

What did Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin taste like? It combined Hendrick’s signature base with an additional blend of locally sourced coastal plants and a crunchy citrus finish, inspired by the sea.

At the end of the event we were treated to a small gift bag complete with a simple Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin recipe as well as a commemorative candle inspired by the unique fragrance of the limited edition Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin presented at the event.

It was so great to see a company spend money and time on an in-person campaign again. It really gave me hope that life is finally getting back to normal here in NYC.
