Brana is no stranger to the camera, but she particularly enjoys the opportunity to speak from her mind and heart. In April 2019 she was chosen to be a keynote speaker for the official Earth Day rally in Union Square, NYC. She went on to speak on panels at the Assemblage for Women Power our Planet and at Arcadia Earth for the Model Mafia in 2019. She additionally served as a panel curator and moderator for the NYC Sanitation Department’s ReFashion Week in early 2020. During quarantine, Brana continued by speaking on several podcasts such as “the Ethical Conversations Podcast”, “SloMo with Mo Gawdat”, “Climate Change with Scott Amyx” and live for Models Trust. She has also been heard on NPR/WLRN news radio speaking about her work as a model and activist during Art Basel.
As a “Special Guest Host” for Impact NYFW, Brana was honored to have the ability to introduce emerging sustainable fashion brands. In February of 2022, Brana spoke as an expert for the largest TV channel in Switzerland, SRF, in their international news documentary. She discussed how to augment safety within the fashion industry. Moreover, in 2022, Brana was honored to be a featured speaker for the 6th edition of the Fashinnovation Worldwide Talks. Other speakers of the talks include top industry leaders such as Nicole Miller, Derek Blasberg, Mara Hoffman, Donna Karen and more.
Brana Dane is also founder of the Slow Fashion Club on Clubhouse and previously hosted a weekly AMA as admin of No Reservations.
