2. Champs Diner – 197 Meserole Steer
If you’re looking for a casual, great dinner at one of the best vegan restaurants in New York City, look no further than the Champs Diner in Bushwick, Brooklyn. With friendly staff, a great wine list and out of this world food, you will quickly see what the hype is is all about. These dishes are inspired by sushi, but without the fish or egg. Beyond Sushi is 100% vegan and is known for its unconventional approach to sushi. Try their delicious vegan dumplings!
6. Le Botaniste – 156 Columbus Ave (multiple locations)
One of the healthier options! This is a 100% botanical and 99% organic restaurant with a menu inspired by the Eastern Hemisphere, consisting of plant-based bowls with starch-based sauces, toppings and a selection of side dishes. My favorite bowl is the Tibetan Mamma.
8. Buddha Bodai – 5 Mott Street
This is a Kosher and vegetarian restaurant on Mott Street in the heart of Chinatown. It is your destination for some of New York City’s best Chinese fare. They also have an amazing lunch offering for $7.50. Try their sesame vegetarian chicken!
9. Sweetgreen – 1114 6th Ave (multiple locations)
Another healthy winner! While not every dish here is completely vegan it’s very easy to put together your own vegan salad to go. I recommend the tofu and mushroom bowl.
10. Lady Bird – 111 east 7th street
This is a hip sit-down spot in the East Village of Manhattan. They have traditional fair made vegan. They’re known for their wine selection and also their vegan tapas. Try their vegan ricotta toast!
