Atelier Beauté Chanel in Soho

IconGirl invited me to a special event at the Atelier Beauté Chanel in Soho, NYC. Once inside the Atelier Beauté Chanel, we were shown to a wall of lockers to store our shopping bags and then given Perrier Jouet Champagne. I chose to wear a peach tie-die satin midi gown with matching nails and sunglasses. Pearls just because… I was the only one at the event wearing color.

Annie Yi hosted the evening and introduced us to the “Theirverse”. What is the “Theirverse”? It’s an inclusive and interactive metaverse experience for anyone and everyone to dress up their avatar.

We got to see the real-life version of the avatar accents in the “Theirverse” as designed by Annie Yi’s son, Harrison, aka Hyphen. He translated the virtual looks by applying Chanel makeup to two different models for a complete transformation.

Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the evening was doing a blind “smell test” of all the Chanel perfumes. They were anonymously categorized by numbers and grouped by qualities such as floral, amber or woody. I eventually chose #6 from the soft amber category as my favorite although I had a hard time deciding. Fun fact: 50% of men choose a female perfume for themselves during this blind test. 

The perfumery gave us these cute porcelain bracelets to wear after we picked out our favorite scents! The porcelain Chanel logo was infused with the scent we chose! This medallion is specifically made to hold on to the scent.
Finally the evening came to an end, but not before getting the chance to play with some Chanel foundation and other makeup items.
